Week 6: Oct. 18 - 25
Weather: Our sixth week started with a cloudy day. It rained the following days, but it was sunny and hot most of the time. Our final day of fishing began with a lot of rain, which lasted until 1 p.m.
Temperatures ranged between 33–35°C.
River Conditions: The water rose little by little every day because of some rain on the headwaters of Marié and Turi River (a tributary of Marié River), and the last two days it also rained, so the river level got higher. By the end of the week, the water level reached the same level as our first fishing week of the 2018 season, which was high.
Fishing Conditions: As the water level kept rising during the week, the fishing was slow, even for butterflies and big peacock bass. However, the number of fish we caught, including butterflies and big peacock bass, was still good, especially considering that we landed 13 fish that weighted over 20 pounds.

Highlight of the Week: We worked hard to find fish, and a lot of persistence was required to be successful with the big ones. Sinking lines were also required to have more success with catching fish. But the results came — 13 fish over 20 pounds! Our highlight of season when it comes to numbers of giant fish!
