2016 Season - Start Up and New World Record on the Fly!

We started our 2016 season at Rio Mari? last week, and there is already great news to share. In fewer than 10 days of the season and despite higher than normal water levels, fly anglers caught?several 20+ pound peacock bass including a giant peacock of 25,5 pounds and the NEW WORLD RECORD on a fly rod ? a monster of 28,5 pounds weighed with an IGFA certified scale! This incredible fish was caught by German angler Mr. Florian Kaiser on September 26th.

The previous record was a 26,5 pound fish caught during the 2016 season, and the new world record monster fish was caught on the Upper Mari? and measured 90 centimeters and was also weighed with an IGFA certified digital scale and rules. (We obviously didn?t use a 20 pound test leader).

The high mobility of?Untamed Amazon and the float plane is making the difference for fishing. Even with higher water than expected for this part of season, we are able to move fast upstream to reach the upper stretches near Rubo Creek, and the results are proven!

The season comes with a very good forecast for water levels. We still have some good spots available for this season, and if you prefer, we already started booking for the 2017 season! Contact us at: info@uangling.com
