Rio Marié 2017 Season Fishing Report Week 8 – Nov. 2 - 9

Week 8 – Nov. 2 - 9

Weather: The weather during our eighth week was sunny the first two days and rainy through the middle of the week. We finished with good weather. Temperatures were stable and ranged between 30 and 35C. River Conditions: Water levels were stable at the beginning of the week and started dropping on the second day. We finished the week with stable water levels. With these good shallow water conditions, we were able to access several sand beaches, and lagoons and lakes were in good condition. Tributaries and small jungle creeks were in perfect shape for fly fishing for peacock bass.

Fishing Conditions: We had perfect fishing conditions at the beginning of the week with good action especially on the second day when the water started dropping. Most of the fish we caught were on structures on the main river. Lakes and lagoons were not so productive.?We had the most success fishing with streamers. We used clear intermediate tips most of the time with Clouser Minnows and other streamers in?chartreuse, white, and pink colors. Fishing with poppers delivered some fun for the persistent anglers.
