Rio Marié 2019 Season Fishing Report October 24-31

Rio Marié 2019 Season Fishing Report
October 24-31

Weather:
The weather during the week was warm, and we had some strong showers and overcast days. Temperatures were between 27-32°C.

River Conditions: Water levels made for some slow fishing, but we made some changes and found success. We started the week fishing the eastern limit of our exclusive fishing area and worked our way up the river until we reached the Turi confluence. With river conditions as they were, we had some success fishing poppers — always fun!

Fishing Stats:
Number of anglers: 10

Butterflies caught: 272
Temensis caught: 21
Temensis over 10lbs: 3
Temensis over 15lbs: 4
Temensis over 20lbs: 1

Highlight of the Week:
Persistence paid off for our guests, and challenges on the water were overcome with skilled angling.  We were also pleased to enjoy the company of Katka Švagrová, who used her experiences from international fly fishing competitions to take on the challenge of fishing for giant temensis.
