Rio Marié 2019 Season Fishing Report November 7-14

Rio Marié 2019 Season Fishing Report
November 7-14

Weather:

The weather during the week was warm and overcast, and we had some rain showers. Temperatures ranged between 27-33ºC.

River Conditions:
The water levels were unstable for most of the week until the last day when we had some consistent flows. Add in some sun on that last day, and we ended the week strong. Fish became more active, and we caught some great ones. We began the week in an area called Ceua, close to our fishing limits, then worked our way up the system during the week to the confluence of the Rubo and Marie rivers.

Fishing Stats:
Number of anglers: 10
Butterflies caught: 320
Temensis caught: 48
Temensis over 10lbs: 5
Temensis over 15lbs: 5
Temensis over 20lbs: 4

Highlight of the Week:
We had many highlights this week.Emily worked hard to hunt down and catch (in some unexpected waters) an 18.7-pound temensis paca. What a fight! Also, Ken (age 94) landed a 17-pound peacock bass while wet wading a sand beach. Great work, Ken! Age is only a number!
